This Is The End; The Salvation Story
This is the End is a story of Mark and two brothers whose decisions on critical life issues land them in different destinies in the world’s end times. Mark gives his life to Christ and this brings an end to the nightmare of a life he had been living. Peter receives the ‘mark’ while Juma, of Jewish descent, refuses the mark knowing it will cost him eternity.
Will Juma be faithful to the end? Or will he deny his Savior?
The first two chapters are about real events that took place. In the other chapters, I use fiction to help the reader understand the magnitude of the oncoming rupture and how it will change the entire history of humanity.
The End-Time Prophet is a Real Character and is currently on earth at the time of writing this book, (the year 2022) preparing the Bride of Christ.

this is the end; who is Brother mark?
A cool gentle breeze swept through the compound as Mark made his way slowly to his house. The house was a two-roomed flat-roofed house with a recent kitchen extension that faced the front lawn of his father’s house. He built the house in phases over the years due to financial shortcomings. Not that he didn’t have the money but he was a miserable drunkard in those days with no hope of making it in life.
A college graduate with technical experience in the construction field, Mark had always been top of his class in his engineering course. After financial hardships in the first year, he got a sponsor to support him in the final two years of his study; thereafter he graduated to the joy of his parents.
He makes a living by supervising various construction projects for well-established firms in his area and also drafting building drawings for various clients.

He knocked at the door and his wife, Esther, warm-heartedly ushered him in with a hug. She took the parcel in his hand and continued slicing the vegetables on the kitchen counter.
“Welcome home my dear,” she smiled lovingly, “how was your day?”
“It was fantastic, my love. How are the kids?” he asked, connecting his cell phone to an electric charger on top of the TV stand.
“Joy’s asleep… Jeff’s out playing since noon.”
“Has he done his homework?” he asked as he walked towards the curtained arched opening that led to the bedroom and knelt down next to the bed facing the window. “Yeah!” she responded in the kitchen.
The prayer
“Almighty God… I thank you for Your ever-present presence in my life,” he whispered the prayer so as not to wake up the baby sleeping on the bed beside him. “I praise You for no one is like You. You are righteous in all your ways, gracious in all Your works. You are near to all who call upon You in truth, Your Word is truth. Thank You for preserving me and my family on this day and letting me always be on this highway of holiness. Amen.”
He stood up, popped his head inside the mosquito net, and kissed the little one-year-old baby girl who slept peacefully facing him. Her exquisite face wore an innocent look and it reminded him of his face when he was a baby. He fondled her cute little fingers in his, stroked her black African hair, and kissed the brownish cheek. She opened her eyes sleepily, took a deep breath, and closed them again.
“Hungry?” asked Esther, as he made a pause in the kitchen to peep in a hotpot.
“Yes. The fast was powerful,” he nodded, smiling his way out towards the bathroom situated outside the house. He paused to greet his parents who were just coming into the compound. Jeff, who was with them, ran towards him laughing joyously hoping for the usual “lift in the air”. He placed the basins and the soap dish down and lifted him high in the air, smiling. “Your day was good?” Mark’s dad asked.
“Yeah, I thank the Lord,” Mark replied, heading to the bathroom.
A small price to pay for salvation?
Mark was born in the semi-arid town of Voi but raised in the beautiful Taita hills where he did his primary and secondary schooling. He had wonderful God-fearing parents who aimed at ensuring they imparted the fear of the Lord in his life as a sure foundation for his future. “This,” he could almost hear his dad’s counsel, “is the beginning of wisdom.” Being the second born, he had five brothers who were also raised in like manner.
However, despite the exceptional moral lessons from his parents and the Sunday school teachers, his high school life was complex for his young age. He joined a rebellious group of marijuana and cigarette junkies. He distanced himself from everyone and was an island to the rest in class; he was rarely heard spoke, and his academic performance immensely dropped.
He resorted to reading novels as a form of escapism and he would just bury his head in one while the teacher taught in class. This annoying habit greatly troubled his loving parents, who opted to always mention his name in their daily prayers to God.
The sinful past
Mark used to dodge the game time in school and spent the entire evening at the public basketball pitch smoking weed and cigarettes with his pals. At around 9 to 10 pm; he would head home, greet his family, take a shower and supper when ready, and bam to bed with a novel! He never took time to speak to his brothers nor his too-didactic parents, and if anyone initiated a conversation, he would give a distasteful statement to kill it.
He was a stranger to his own family and he saw himself as an outcast, hence, he resorted to his own world of fantasy in the novels he read. He gave his life to Jesus Christ one December night, but prior to this, he and his friend were planning a robbery. The holidays seemed dead with no money for illegal drugs. He had stolen many times from his mum and even in school they broke into the lab one night and stole some valuables; which they sold to a certain dealer in town at black-market prices. This time, he was going a notch higher as they planned to steal from a nearby shop.
This is the end; How Mark Got Saved
One late evening, he walked home high on drugs and with the thoughts of the upcoming robbery in his mind. He was unaware of an evangelical crusade that taking place in his neighborhood. His dad had arranged for the evangelist to pay him a visit after the crusade so as to pray for his straying son at home.
Mark always recalls that night as the first day he felt the opportunity to turn about the events in his life; which was beyond the change since he had failed many times in his own efforts to call it quits. When the evangelist came, he accepted the offer to change and knelt down in prayer. All his brothers, astounded, knelt too; confessing the power of Christ to save them.
However, his companions doubted his calling those days and Mark openly disposed of his most cherished possessions (secular explicit hip hop albums and some crime/romance fiction novels) and told them their time will come to accept Christ Jesus. Nonetheless, his change was evident to all as his academic performance escalated and in his finals, he managed the second position in school!
He excelled in serving God as a keyboardist in his hometown church until after his first year in college when tragedy struck. He was the lead in his class, but sadly due to financial shortcomings, he was unable to proceed to the second year of his study. A sister in her church then connected him to a café job in Mombasa, a third city on the Kenyan coast.
All this while, Mark had never had a ‘home away alone’ opportunity in his teenage life and the thought triggered some adventurous ideas in his mind. He arrived around noon, a young, bold Christian, and his roommate took him to a nearby beach for a tour; as he was to commence work the next day.
Can you lose your salvation?
Around evening that day at the beach, there happened to be an open-air disco and everyone seemed to happily, crazily, and uncaringly dance to the loud rhythms of the secular techno beats. He was watching from a short distance when his friend pushed his way towards him, pulled him to the center of the crowd, and slowly he started dancing too.
A thought crossed his mind that no one knew him there and he consciously and energetically gained momentum almost out-dancing the others. His new companion passed him a cigarette and he sucked it with the air of an expert smoker. Concealed to him at that moment, was the truth that he had fallen! Just like Lucifer and his angels!
His life became miserable and hopeless, but he hid it from his parents. Months later, after making every effort to pay them a visit and failing for almost many months continuously, his big brother joined him. He was the one who disclosed this to his parents after realizing that Mark was now a habitual drinker and a drug addict once again.
The chains of a drug addict and alcoholism made him live a hopeless, tormented life. God then seemed far away from him and even though every night he made a silent prayer of repentance in his bed, freedom seemed a million miles away and the fear of hell haunted his soul.
This is the end…Confusion
One hot Sunday afternoon, as was his custom when off duty, he smoked marijuana on the seashores of Nyali Bridge alone. All over sudden, a very strong and uncontrollable fear engulfed him and he heard a voice in his mind, assuring him that he will leave Mombasa dead and in a coffin; since he had rebelled against God, was miles away from home and alone as his brother had left.
He started shaking uncontrollably and was afraid of crossing the busy road. He made his way to a church and the pastor led him in a salvation prayer. Later on, when he was sober, he went on with his life as usual, but inwardly he yearned for freedom. He developed worse habits like pornography, masturbation, and even laying with prostitutes; and this made him all the more chained and in spiritual bondage.
His friend, who took harder drugs, made Mark an accomplice in a black money scandal whereby, a neighbor in the café lost thousands of money. Being a weekend, the neighbor whose name was Alan, a Clearing and Forwarding Accountant in the Kenya Ports Authority, intended to ‘double’ some KPA money that he was to deposit at a bank. He was going to do this through some guys who had earlier on proved to him that they can make one thousand counterfeit notes mysteriously using some plain papers and special inks. He was later on to deposit the actual KPA money after doubling it and spending the counterfeit.
Conned!
Mark’s friend called the mysterious money makers and a few hours later two stout guys came in a car and in Alan’s locked house, started the money-making process. Later on in the process, they said they had forgotten a ‘final ink’ and one of them had to leave and fetch it, while the other remained with the now inked, wrapped, Alan’s money.
He was gone for a while and later on called the other guy and said he was arrested for speeding while on his way back with the ink. The other guy left to ‘bail him out, leaving the inked money and promising to come back within a few minutes with the final ink. He was gone for hours and when they called he assured them he was on his way with the ink. The hours passed by and when they called again, the phone was switched off. They kept on trying but the call didn’t go through and as a last resort, fearing they may have been conned, they decided to unwrap the inked money to save what they could.
To their surprise, the inked money was the plain papers and definitely, the con artists had made away with the real money! Alan was in a dilemma and he confessed that Mark and his friend were the con men’s marketers. Mark was unaware of the con game and he was also expectant of his share from Alan if everything went well; his friend, however, knew exactly what would happen in the whole process.
contemplating suicide
Alan, now in a panic, confessed to Mark of committing suicide as the only way out of the KPA’s lost thousands. Mark thought of a way out and the three of them stage-managed a robbery. Cops came with loud sirens on, heavily armed and they took Alan with them to file a statement. The next day, Mark made his way to the bus stage to Voi and that was how he left Mombasa.
Back in Voi, he continued in the painful life of drug and alcohol addiction. He was in and out of salvation, managed to graduate through a sponsor, and twice he had intended to wed in a holy matrimonial but failed; and whenever he failed, his habit worsened. He then married a young beauty, Esther, who later on engineered Mark’s changes. Esther offered daily fervent prayers to God for his unpredictable husband who sometimes battered her even during pregnancy.
His parents too ceaselessly prayed for their ‘demon-possessed’ son who, when drunk, would trouble the neighborhood and start fights with his brothers, and worst of all; he went to an extent of cursing his parents for his miseries.

This is the end of sin
One sweet day, a day recorded not only in his mind and heart but in heaven too, a day God had planned solely for his deliverance, Mark finally reached the end of a nightmare he called life. He strongly made up his mind and asked God to help him turn his back to the kingdom of darkness, which tormented him for many years, and follow the Light. God didn’t give him only what he asked for, He also gave him what he needed most; His unconditional love, mercies, forgiveness, peace, and deliverance from the curse of drug addiction.
The events that followed were God-ordained and they totally changed his life. The mightiest end-time prophet of the Lord God Almighty Dr. David Edward had announced that all the believers should wear sackcloth and repent of their lawless deeds so that as Jesus the Messiah comes back for a holy matured Church, they will be ruptured with Him into the heavenly kingdom-the wedding supper of the Lamb. Thus, God saw Mark in his filthy state and gave him the opportunity to prepare for the coming King of Glory.
The opportune time to repent
Mark grasped this opportunity with both hands and he is to date convinced that, come what may, after witnessing the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah through His end-time prophet in the mass healing crusades, nothing could convince him otherwise. He has seen the deaf, the mute, the lame, the blind, leprosy, HIV, AIDS, and many other diseases and affliction conditions under the sun healed.
Recently by his prophetic word; Mama Rosa, a woman from an unknown remote village, had died for 2 hours, and raised from the dead after the prophet texted the husband with the words, “It is well”. The mourning, wailing gathered crowd took that word in faith and hope and expectantly started to praise God of the end-time prophet.
Meanwhile, the dead body lay stiff, cold, eyes open and tongues out, covered in a blanket. Two hours later, as they celebrated, the body covered in a blanket sneezed three times, and one of her children fearfully uncovered the blanket. To their utter amazement, she was breathing! Alive from the dead!
This is the end of false prophets!
Not only in Kenya were the super mega grand healing crusades being hosted but worldwide. The prophecies, which have been worldwide, have been fulfilled to the dot. Only one grand prophecy remains – the coming of Jesus: the Messiah and Savior of the world. His coming was not ‘at hand’ but ‘in hand’, as per the recent prophecy where God the Father spoke to him, bringing His servant almost 30 meters to the entrance of heaven.
The prophet then saw the rupture of the saints; how the graves of the saints opened up and they, together with the holy Christians living on the earth, were changed within a twinkle of an eye into glorious immortals; and were raised towards heaven’s Gate, into the 1000 years they will spend with Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior in the most awaited wedding feast of the Lamb.
This is the end time prophet
Mark’s faith has since then not wavered and he looks forward to this day eagerly as the watchmen wait for the day. One night in an unforgettable dream, he heard a voice whisper to him, “He is Elijah!” He had been wondering about the authority of the prophet. Many believed he was prophesied in the Bible book of Malachi as the Elijah who comes to prepare the way before the Lord Jesus returns.
“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to the fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:5-6. Mark believes he has already heard the voice of God assuring him he is on the right way and considering the very signs and wonders God Almighty has wrought through this end-time prophet, he needed no other sign.
The very message of repentance and holiness, he preaches, and the vertical gospel of the kingdom of heaven differentiates him from all the other ‘prophets’ present that Mark knew. His message concurred with the old Bible prophets’ message of repentance and holiness.
