This Is The End: The Rapture Of The Church

When the rapture of the Church took place, Brother Mark was ready and the Lord took him away to be with Him forever! Are you ready? No one knows the day or the hour, so it’s good to prepare!

Mark woke up to the sweet melodies of the birds outside the house. Jeff had already left for school and his wife was in the kitchen cleaning some dishes. He glanced at Joy, who was snoring beside him sound asleep, and knelt beside the bed for morning devotions to his Maker. He showered and quickly took breakfast in the sitting room as he watched the breakfast news.

There was a knock at the door and he knew his friend, Peter, had come to pick him up to work although he was much earlier that day. He came in and they both took tea and then headed out for work. The site of the work was half an hour’s walk towards the town and they decided to walk as they still had an hour to spare. They took a shortcut through a mangoes plantation and picked the fallen juicy fruits preserving some for lunch.

Is this the end of sin? The rapture of the Church is nigh

“Is everything okay back home?” asked Mark when he noticed his friend was quieter than usual.

“No… My friend, I am going through hard times,” he paused as he picked another fruit and headed to Mark who was now out of the plantation. “I had a fight with my wife yesterday and I spent the night out at Jimmy’s house. She’s complaining about my life. She’s not satisfied with my income and thinks I am cheating on her.”

“I understand. I’ve been through the same situation. You know my story,” said Mark. “Why don’t you change Peter? I always tell you Christ is the only source of joy and love in any family. You know, when He comes into your life, He recreates every aspect of your life in the original blueprint God had before the fall of man. Paradise on earth is what I mean,” he added, “don’t be a stiff-necked man; you’re ruining your life with the vanities of this life. Anyway, sorry man and take heart. I’ll ask my wife to speak to her. They’re good old friends.”

This was all he could offer as a consolation to his friend since he knew it all depends on his decision. “It’s a matter of choices; a good choice always leads to goodness and happiness. Jesus is always a good choice for us mortals. Remember He rose from the dead?” he added, almost to himself now, “all those who trust in Him are upheld by His loving hands.” “Peter,” he focused on him, “the rapture of the Church will take place any moment and you should consider where you will spend your eternity my friend.”

Peter was deep in his thoughts. He had known Mark for over ten years and they had both been good companions in the vanities of the sinful flesh until Mark gave his life to Jesus. Just the other day, Mark rescued him from a suicide attempt and hosted him in his house. That night, he had felt humiliated by his sister who was also his landlord. She sided with his wife and decided it was fit that they divorce. She said this because he rarely paid the rent and it was her sister who mostly fends for his family.

Thus, the habit of him spending the night out was common nowadays due to the daily misunderstandings at his home, and the one to blame for all these misfortunes, he knew deep down his heart, was him. The rapture of the Church news was not something new to him. From what Mark told him the other day; the rapture of the Church is certain and will take place in this generation.

How To Overcome Obstacles in Life!

“It’s time I change,” he thought, as he recalled the many taxi driver jobs he lost because he rarely took the daily sales to his boss. Peter addicted to drugs and alcohol, knew that they were the main stumbling block in his life. Many times, he got arrested for driving while drunk. He had lost many opportunities. His bosses had entrusted him with their cars, only demanding the daily targets which he couldn’t deliver. He then resorted to construction jobs and Mark taught him some masonry skills for survival in the vast town.

“It’s time you give your life to Jesus. Remember the prodigal son?” Mark continued as if reading his thoughts. Peter was not new to the Scriptures as Mark invited him many times to the local church and his father was also a pastor at the same church.

“I will my friend. I will,” he replied, facing Mark, who suddenly realized he looked older than he was yesterday. He also seemed to be growing thinner each day. He felt empathy towards him.

“Just repent from your heart and confess Him as your Lord and Savior, Believe He came to set you free from exactly what you’re going through now. And many more that will come your way later on. He will take His place and bring joy to your marriage,” said Mark as they approached the site.  

“I will. It’s just that I don’t want you to pray for me and then go back to smoking a few minutes after that.”

What is the rapture of the church?

Mark knew from experience that this was a lie the devil uses to bind many from accepting their freedom. Many, especially those who had backslid back to sin, always offer this excuse when asked to repent. They are afraid of accepting Jesus into their hearts and later on falling into sin!

Jesus died to set us free from sin and death, and He rose again to justify us. In the Christian faith, justification means: just as if I’ve not sinned. Unbelief is a major weapon the enemy uses to tie many to him after they repent. “To ‘tie’ as with a rope!” he thought, “not with chains.” Mark knew from experience that only the Blood of Jesus Christ can break any kind of bondage when you have unwavering faith in Him.

He wished the Holy Spirit will reveal to Peter the magnitude of the rapture! It’s a one-time event that will change the entire history and focus of mankind. During the rapture of the Church, Jesus will stand above the clouds and take His bride home. 

The dead in Christ will rise first and together with those who are alive and walking in holiness during that time, they will all rise up (raptured) towards the heavens where Christ will welcome them to His Father’s kingdom. No one should miss this!

Those who miss this will never make it to heaven! All, except the 144,000 Jews who will hear the message from the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 and die painfully under persecution confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives!

On arrival at the construction site, they found out that there was no water and so they hovered around in expectancy as the owner made arrangements. Since they were to concrete the first-floor slab that day, Mark had informed the owner that there was a need for a big storage tank. But he hadn’t purchased one yet hoping to use the direct tap water. He had a small water tank and Mark instructed some guys to continue with curing on the masonry walling constructed recently.

Mark proceeded to organize the workers and position them in their respective areas of work. They continued with some final touches to the reinforcement mats and the formworks. Thus, adding tying wires where necessary and nailing braces to the props supporting the slab formwork – as they wait for the water truck. He moved close to Peter, who seemed very moody placing some spacer blocks to correct positions after displacement by the now busy foot traffic on the first floor.

Brother Mark heard some workers close to him converse about recent news in the newspapers: the resurrection of a dead woman. They argued that it was impossible and some said the miracle or sign was stage-managed. The level of their voices and the nature of the news lured some workers closer as they were all unbelieving. “Only Lazarus and Jesus rose from the dead,” shouted Ken, a young man whose father was also a pastor in a local church.

“I don’t agree with you. In the very chapter Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead He said to Martha, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he dies shall live, and he who lives and believes in Me shall never die.” Mark quoted, bending to tie a wire, “This resurrection is among the signs and wonders Jesus spoke about before His coming.”

“Since long ago people said He will come back, but He hasn’t and He won’t and life goes on as usual,”

Said Ken.

“He will come like a thief,” Mark said boldly. “Do you remember the days of Noah? People laughed at him when he told them God will destroy the world in a flood and the only assurance of their survival was entering the ark. They despised him until when the door got shut and it started to rain heavily. What happened then? They all died except Noah and his family who got saved in the ark. The Messiah is coming.

The end-time prophets are here and they have confessed with confidence and boldness that they have seen Him come and take the holy Christians. They have also seen very many professing Christians left behind! It won’t be a walk in the park here on earth to those left behind!”

Mark always stole those moments to let all know that the end-time prophets are now on earth and that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, was coming. Few believed him but some went on pointing their views about the coming of Jesus Christ stating otherwise.

All of a sudden, they heard a tremor, but its magnitude was very low and some dismissed it as vibrations due to the ongoing vehicles; since they were almost fifteen meters away from the busy main road. The magnitude rose instantly and the whole building shook violently! Blood-curdling screams rang out as all ran towards the stairs’ timber formworks constructed to hold the wet concrete!

Due to its temporary nature, the three-inch nails holding the sides of the risers’ members could not carry the disruptive foot traffic and some of them went loose. What followed was chaotic! Almost all fell and someone went through the wide newel opening of the stair to the ground floor where he fell with a thud!

Everyone was running out of the big constructed building and tenants in adjacent story buildings were also heard screaming. The few seconds of the earthquake brought everything to a standstill!

The quake subsided as abruptly as it had begun. Blood-curdling screams rang out from various neighboring directions, disrupted car alarms, and noisy hooting on the main road. The workers were now a safe distance from the building. A young man, Frank, had a broken leg and his friends carried him out of the building weeping and writhing in pain.

The Rapture Of The Church Is a Day Of Darkness to Those Left Behind!

Ken, the only one who hadn’t left the building, was still on the first floor. He had run to a column and supported himself on the protruding column starter bars in the hope of safety. Although the earthquake had subsided, he still clung to the bars, as if expecting another tremor any moment.

Seeing that none was forthcoming, he turned quickly towards the staircase but stood still in his tracks! He couldn’t believe what he saw before his eyes! Mark’s shirt was on top of his trousers which in turn were on top of his shoes, covering them!

They both seemed as if the wearer had removed them in a hurry and left them down in an un-orderly manner. Blue boxer shorts also peeped from inside the trousers and his cell phone and some papers were beside them.

Panicked, he ran for the staircase, shaking in fear about what may have happened to Mark!
